Treatment Procedure

What is the Treatment Procedure?

We cleanse and tone the skin, then apply a numbing cream. We then cover with plastic film and leave the skin for 60 minutes for the skin to be numb. We then cleanse the skin to remove numbing cream just before performing the Derma-Rolling treatment. Your skin will stay numb for about 30 minutes. The treatment takes 15 to 20 minutes.

Recovery time

The skin will be pink or red in appearance, much like a sunburn, very occasionally there may be some mild bruising, mainly on older clients. The skin may also feel warm straight after the treatment.

We cool the skin with cold gel packs straight after treatment, the skin may feel tight and itchy for a short while. Generally, the inflammatory reaction of the skin is overall usually short and fades significantly after a couple of hours, depending on the individual. Normally your skin will recover the same day and may have only slight redness the following day if you have sensitive skin.

Immediately after your treatment you will look as though you have moderate sun burn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.

The process itself can continue for several months’ post treatment, the result increasing during this time and over subsequent treatments.
